The body of person stabbed to death with sharp weapons has been found inside a parked three-wheeler at Ward Place in Colombo, police said.
The deceased has been identified as a 33-year-old youth.
The three-wheeler in question was found parked in front of the National Dental Hospital in Ward Place, based on information received by Cinnamon Gardens Police at around 1.00 a.m. today (23).
Police had later inquired from the Department of Motor Traffic regarding the three-wheeler and uncovered that it was registered under the name of a resident of Middeniya.
The owner of the three-wheeler has stated that he had given the vehicle to his 33-year-old brother-in-law who is a taxi driver.
Cinnamon Gardena Police is conducting further investigations.
