Cloudy skies can be expected over most provinces of the island. Showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern, Southern, Central and Uva provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other areas of the island after 1.00 p.m. Several spells of showers will occur in North-Western province during the morning too.
Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western and Eastern provinces.
The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
