Due to active Southwest Monsoon conditions over the island, prevailing showery condition in south-western part of the Island is likely to continue further.
Heavy showers, above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Maximum rainfall reported in Ingiriya (Kalutara District) 101.5mm, Deniyaya (Matara district) 100.5mm, Vithanakanda Estate (Ratnapura district) 80.0 mm and Uduwila (Kegalle district) 73.5 mm during last 24-hours.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Heavy showers about 100mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly strong winds about (40-45) kmph can be expected at times in western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.
