44% of the population above age 30 received first dose of COVID vaccine in Sri Lanka

About 44 percent of the total population above 30 in Sri Lanka have been administered with at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to data released. As of now nearly 13 per cent of the country’s population above the age 30 has received the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Sri Lanka is one of the leading developing countries in the world in implementing the vaccination Programme against COVID-19.
