So far 20 deaths in fuel queues in Sri Lanka #FuelCrisisLK

The police say that a 56-year-old man who was waiting in the queue near Piliyandala Madapata fuel station fell ill suddenly and died after being admitted to Piliyandala Hospital.

The total number of people who died sitting in queues has increased to 20.

On July 23, two persons have lost their lives while waiting in queues near filling stations to get fuel in Uragasmanhandia and Pottuvil police areas.

On July 22, A 70 year old has died due to a stampede while trying to obtain fuel from a filling station in the Mathugama – Pelawatte area and 59-year-old man from Kinniya had died after collapsing while in a queue for fuel. ( LankaXpress.com )
