Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) requests public to get the booster dose and follow the health guidelines as there is a possibility of a new variant emerging.
Even though the number of Covid-19 deaths and Covid-19 cases have dropped, there is a danger of a new variant emerging in the country. Therefore, obtaining the booster and following health guidelines is essential says HPB Director Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa.
According to COVID19 Vaccine rollout tracking, So far over 7.5 million booster doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka. Over 7,600,000 persons over the 20+ years of age have been administered the Pfizer vaccine so far as 3rd dose.
People 20 years and above who got 2nd dose COVID vaccination more than 3 months ago, now can get 3rd dose (booster dose) (Pfizer) from below mentioned places.

Eligibility criteria
1) Three months past since your 2nd dose (Az, Sinopharm, Sputnik, Moderna or Pfizer)
2) 20 years and above
