Attorney-at-Law Aruna Laksiri has filed a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court, requesting an order to withhold the Presidential election. He argues that the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was not properly passed in Parliament and is calling for a referendum to properly pass the amendment.
Last week, the Supreme Court has dismissed another petition that sought to delay the Presidential Election.
