Sri Lanka’s fuel crisis to be over by weekend

Energy Minister Gamini Lokuge says that prevailing fuel shortage will be ease by this weekend. He further says queues at petrol stations will be eliminated and the public will be given the opportunity to obtain fuel as usual.

A ship with diesel has arrived to Sri Lanka according to Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation. A ship with 30,500 MT diesel arrived and distribution to start soon. Currently Sri Lanka is experiencing both Petrol and Diesel shortage in the market. Long queues report at Filling Stations island-wide.
