Sri Lanka Weather Update: Evening Showers Expected in Some Areas

Sri Lanka’s Meteorology Department forecasts showers or thundershowers in parts of Galle, Matara, Kalutara, and Ratnapura districts this evening or night, while Ampara may experience light showers. Elsewhere, mainly dry weather will prevail.

Temperatures are expected to exceed 30°C in most districts, with Ratnapura reaching 36°C and Anuradhapura 34°C. Residents are advised to stay hydrated to avoid dehydration.

Morning mist is expected in parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central provinces, and Badulla district. The public is urged to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
