Sri Lanka recorded its youngest coronavirus related death as a 8-day-old infant in Gampola area has passed away on May 27, reports Hiru News. Health officials confirmed that the infant was admitted to the Gampola Hospital and has been diagnosed with COVID pneumonia. Last year December 8th a 20-day-old infant died due to Covid-19.
