Today Sri Lanka records 674 coronavirus cases. According to official stats Sri Lanka’s weekly average of PCR tests count show about 6,400 per day. Test positivity rate has decreased to 11.4%. It was around 35% during early September. Currently there are 24,722 active COVID patients.
Sri Lanka records 21 COVID related deaths. According to the Director General of Health Services, 21 deaths had taken place October 13 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 13,429.
