Sri Lanka reached 11 million milestone for Covid vaccination program. Over 96% of the population above age 30 administered at least the first dose

According to COVID19 Vaccine rollout tracking, Sri Lanka reached 11 million milestone for Covid-19 vaccination drive. So far over 11 million (11,081,092) first doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka. Over 96% of the total population above age 30 in Sri Lanka have been administered with at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

As of now over 26% of the country’s population above the age 30 has received the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly 3 million second doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka so far received over 19.6 million vaccines. The highest number of vaccines per day of 515,830 administered on July 29 and Sri Lanka administered 513,820 doses of COVID vaccines July 30.

Sri Lanka to begin the vaccinate all the students and people aged below 30 from August end as ongoing vaccination program of above 30 age is nearing complete.
