Sri Lanka qualified for the Youth Netball World Cup, after beating Hong Kong 46-32 to take third place in the Asian Youth Netball Championships in South Korea today.
Sri Lanka were outscored 11-10 in the first half, but they took the next three quarters 11-06, 13-10 and 12-05 to pull away from Hong Kong.
Sri Lanka will join Singapore and Malaysia, who played the championship match, in the Youth Netball World Cup as regional qualifiers.
This was the third time in a row that Sri Lankan finished third in the Asian Netball Championship, having also done so in 2017 and 2019.
Sri Lanka last won the tournament in 2015.
The World Youth Netball championship will take place in New Zealand in 2025.
