Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa met with Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled on the sidelines of the 76th UN General Assembly meetings. The meeting correlated both nations’ consolidated relations as well as interests in strengthening and developing them, in addition to issues on the Assembly’s agenda.
The President also drew the attention of the Kuwaiti Prime Minister to the investment opportunities available to the Kuwait in the Colombo Port City, solar and wind energy and refining sectors in Sri Lanka.
The President pointed out that a large number of Sri Lankans work in Kuwait and called for more opportunities for skilled workers.
