Showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts, the Department of Meteorology says.
Several spells of showers may occur in North West, North and North Central Provinces.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern and Uva Provinces in the evening or at night, it said.
Strong winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected at times over Northern, North Central and North Western provinces and Hambantota district.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
