Suspect arrested for setting fire to Wimal Weerawansa’ house

A suspect has been arrested for setting fire to the house and property of the Member of Parliament Wimal Weerawansa on the 9th of May.

A suspect who was wanted for damaging the house and property of MP Wimal Weerawansa was arrested in Malabe police area. The police also found a gas cylinder stolen by the suspect.

The arrested suspect was 18 years old and a resident of Hokandara area. The Western Province Southern Crime Division is conducting further investigations.
