The Education Ministry announced the school holidays and school conducting dates for the second and third terms for 2023.
The school holidays for the first phase of the second school term will be from August 18 to August 27 including the mentioned dates.
The second phase of the second school term will start on August 28 (Monday) and end on October 27 (Friday) including the mentioned dates.
The Grade Five scholarship examination will be held on October 15 (Sunday).
The first phase of the second school term will start on October 30 and will continue till November 24.
Meanwhile, the school holidays for the first phase of the third school term will start on November 25 and continue till December 31.
The 2023 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination is scheduled to be held between November 27 and December 21.
The second phase for the third school term will start on January 1, 2024 and will continue till February 16.
The official circular on these have been sent to the Provincial Chief Secretaries, Provincial Education Secretaries, Provincial Education Directors, Zonal Education Directors, all Pirivenas and all government and government-assisted private schools.
