Sanath Jayasuriya Backs New Ride-Hailing App Leos with 0% Commission Model
Colombo, Sri Lanka – Sri Lankan cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya has partnered with ATLAS Pty Ltd to introduce Leos, a new budget-friendly ride-hailing app aimed at revolutionizing the industry by offering a 0% commission model for drivers.
Since the launch of driver registrations on March 2, 2025, Leos has attracted over 2,500 sign-ups from the Colombo region, signaling strong demand for a fairer and more driver-centric alternative in the ride-hailing sector.
Jayasuriya, along with co-founders Jerome Anthony and P.D. Silva, envisions Leos as a platform that fosters healthy competition while benefiting both drivers and commuters.
“With Leos, we’re committed to creating a platform that truly empowers drivers while ensuring passengers have access to affordable and reliable rides. This is a ride-hailing service designed to put drivers and riders first,” the founders stated.
As an incentive for early adopters, Leos is offering 12 months of 0% commission for drivers who register before April 1, 2025. This initiative is intended to build a strong driver community from the outset.
The company is set to launch its Rider App in May 2025, promising an affordable and high-quality transportation experience tailored to Sri Lankan needs. Currently, driver registration is open exclusively for Colombo-based drivers, with plans for expansion to other regions in the near future.
