A consignment of hashish worth Rs. 42 million was found in a container at the Orugudawatta Sri Lankan Customs Terminal, the Sri Lankan Customs said.
They said that 35 kilos of hashish were found in a joint operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Customs and Ports Authority officials.
The five packages were imported from Italy by a local person. The owner of the consignment has not been identified yet.
The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting further investigations.
