Price of Bread Reduced

In a significant move, the price of a 450g loaf of bread will be reduced by Rs. 10 starting from midnight tonight, announced N.K. Jayawardena, President of the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association. This price adjustment comes at a crucial time as Sri Lanka gears up for the upcoming presidential election.

The price of the other bakery products will NOT be reduced.

The reduction in bread prices is seen as a positive step for households across the country, providing some financial relief amidst the economic challenges many are facing.
