Power Cut in several areas

Several areas in the country are currently experiencing power disruptions.

Meanwhile PuCSL Chairman says that Ceylon Electricity Board CEB has not requested approval for scheduled power shedding today , if any such disruption occurs, will be dealt with the provision of the Electricity Act.

Yesterday Kelanitissa Power Plant suspended electricity generation as it has run out of fuel.
