Sri Lanka Police requests the public to report information pertaining to violent acts and looting at homes and places of business during the unrest on the 9th of May, via the 1997 and 119 hotlines.
Sri Lanka Police assures the investigations on above crimes are led by special teams and the identities of the informants as well as the confidentiality of the information will be secured.
