Akmeemana police station OIC has sent an explanation regarding the allegations that the Akmeemana police station has informed about a group that is trying to abduct children, which is spreading through social media networks.
Accordingly, Akmeemana police has NOT informed about a group trying to abduct children through social media, and Akmeemana Police Station has further reported that there have been NO reports of such abduction of children or any such attempt in Akmeemana and Yakkalamulla police areas.
Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Police informed the public that the news that is being spread is false news.
