The Ministry of Power and Energy said today that the government currently has sufficient fuel stocks on hand.
Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said the government has 133,936 metric tons of diesel and 6,192 metric tons of super diesel as of 8.30 am today (23).
He said the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) and CPC plants have 35,402 metric tons of Octane 92 and 5,367 metric tons of Octane 95 petrol.
In addition, 30,173 metric tons of jet fuel are in stock.
