The National Building and Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings to multiple areas in four districts, as heavy rainfall continues in parts of the island.
Accordingly, a Level 2 (Amber) warning has been issued for several areas in the Galle and Kalutara districts as follows:
Galle District: Nagoda and Elpitiya Divisional Secretariat Divisions (DSD) and surrounding areas
Kaluthara District: Walallawita DSD and surrounding areas
Meanwhile, a Level 1 (Yellow) warning was issued for the following areas:
Galle District: Niyagama DSD and surrounding areas
Kegalle District: Dehiovita DSD and surrounding areas
Matara District: Pitabeddara DSD and surrounding areas
