Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, H.E. Santosh Jha, called on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), to congratulate him on the party’s landmark victory in the 2024 Parliamentary Elections. The NPP secured 159 seats, achieving a two-thirds majority in parliament.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Jha conveyed India’s warm regards and welcomed the democratic mandate that brought the NPP to power.
