Police arrested over 1400 suspects for fuel hoarding

Police arrested 4 persons who were keeping a stock of fuel without a license. Police seized 400 litres of petrol and about 2000 litres of diesel during the raids on August 29.

So far police arrested 1439 persons who were in possession of hoarded fuel stocks during raids carried out island-wide. The police seized about 63,000 litres of petrol and 198,000 litres of diesel during the raids. ( LankaXpress.com )
