UPDATE (8.15 PM): Police stated that the person who was injured in the Grandpass shooting incident has succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased is a 31-year-old male while it is reported that a woman was also injured and hospitalized following the shooting.
They were reportedly traveling in a three-wheeler when an unidentified gunman had fired at them at around 6.00 p.m. today before fleeing the scene.
One person has been injured in a shooting incident at Grandpass in Colombo.
Police said the shooting had occurred at the Wadullawatte area in Grandpass this evening (25).
