Freight container transportation charges reduced

The All-Island United Container Transport Owners’ Association says freight container transportation charges will be increased by 2.5 percent.

Accordingly, the charges will be reduced with effect from midnight yesterday (Jan 04).

The move comes after the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) and Lanka IOC slashed the prices of auto diesel by Rs. 15 per litre to Rs. 405 on Monday (Jan 02).
