A few showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the Island.
Several districts will see temperatures exceeding 30°C. Batticaloa is forecasted to reach 34°C, Trincomalee 37°C, Anuradhapura 35°C, and Jaffna 33°C and Ratnapura districts 32°C. Maximum temperature of 37.1°C reported in Polonnaruwa area during last 24-hours.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
