The Covid-19 variants that are currently causing a massive outbreak in China have been present in Sri Lanka and the rest of the world for many months, a health expert said.
Head of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Prof. Neelika Malavige said in a twitter post that this was confirmed based on the sequencing data released from China.
