The Asia Cup 2023 Final ODI match between Sri Lanka and India will be played today at the RPS Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. According to Sri Lanka Department of Meteorology’s latest predictions, there will be “several spells of showers” at times in Colombo but it will NOT thundershowers. According to their area-wise numerical prediction, there will be 15mm to 20mm rainfall in Colombo RPS area.
The Department of Meteorology Sri Lanka says that several spells of showers may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern, Uva and Central provinces, and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu district during the evening or night.
A few showers may occur in Puttalam and Hambantota districts.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
