The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is set to introduce a new salary structure, performance-based incentive system, and promotion process for its employees in the coming weeks.
In an X post, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said this was discussed during a recent meeting with the trade unions of the CEB.
During the discussions, it was deliberated to revise the existing approved cadre of 26,000+ to reduce the number of employees recruited in the future.
The discussions also covered the structure of the reforms, timelines for implementing different tasks, appointments to successor companies, human resource management, salary structures and policy and management decisions.
