The Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) inflation based on the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) decreased to 0.9% in May 2024, the Department of Census and Statistics reported. Accordingly, in comparison to the 1.5% seen in April, the Y-o-Y was down by 0.6% in May 2024.
Meanwhile, food inflation also decreased to 0% from 1.3% in April.
