The Chairman of the National Transport Commission (NTC) Shashi Welgama says that despite the rise in fuel prices, there will be no corresponding increase in bus fares.
In a statement, the Chairman clarified that although the price of a liter of diesel has reached Rs. 358 as of today (01 Jan.), bus fares will remain unchanged.
Earlier today, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO), LIOC, and Sinopec implemented fuel price hikes.
