Send Aswesuma Objections and appeals to Welfare Benefits Board – New Registration Starts August 1st

Non-registrants for the ASWESUMA BENIFITS PROGRAM as well as new entrants will be offered the opportunity annually to enroll. Those who were unable to apply for this year’s program or who were unable to submit appeals will be given the opportunity to apply anew from August 1st.

State Minister Mr. Anupa Pascual said that a certain number of people are eligible to receive these benefits every year and some people leave due to various reasons.

Sri Lanka government says they will ensure that all deserving individuals who require assistance will be included to the Aswesuma welfare benefit scheme.

Instructions are given to AGAs to prioritize the entry of physically received appeals & objections into the system of the welfare benifit board to ensure that everyone’s grievances are heard and addressed. On completion of this process we could notify the final count.

District secretaries will commence assessments of 968’000 appeals & 17’500 objections received for “Aswesuma” to make accurate determinations. The govt will ensur

Minister Anupa Pasqual requests all applicants NOT to protest and those whose names were NOT included in the list of ‘Aswesuma’ beneficiaries to file appeals before July 10. Final Aswesuma beneficiaries list will publish following the close of the appeal process.

Those whose names were not included in the benefits list can visit the website www.wbb.gov.lk and submit their objections by filling the form mentioned there.
