AstraZeneca vaccines to arrive in Sri Lanka this evening from Japan

728,460 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines will arrive in Sri Lanka this evening (July 31) from Japan. State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana says a similar amount of AstraZeneca vaccines will be received August 7 Saturday too and when vaccinating, priority will be given to those who have received the first dose. Sri Lanka so far received over 13.8 million vaccines but was struggling to get the AstraZeneca Covishield to give as a second jab to those who had it as first dose.
