The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) confirmed the schedule for the Asia Cup starting in August, with Sri Lanka hosting a majority of its games at the R Premadasa Colombo. The tournament will consist of a total of 13 matches, all starting at 1 pm Pakistan Standard Time (1.30 pm Sri Lanka Standard Time and Indian Standard Time).
The tournament, which is being played in a hybrid-model with games split between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, will kick off in Multan with Pakistan taking on Nepal on August 30, and Sri Lanka opening their campaign on August 31 against Bangladesh at Pallekele.
Sri Lanka will travel to Lahore for their second game, against Afghanistan, the last of the group stage matches scheduled to be played in Pakistan.
The rest of the tournament, bar one Super 4s game, will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium.
India will open their campaign on September 2 in Pallekele against rivals Pakistan, with the possibility of a second clash between the powerhouses on September 10 at the R. Premadasa Stadium if both teams progress to the Super 4s.
If they finish in the top two of the Super 4s round, they will meet for a third time in the final on September 17 at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
