Adarsha Karandana, who accused Prof. Ashu Marasinghe of bestiality through a video made public, arrested by the Police Computer Crime Division over a complaint lodged by Prof. Ashu Marasinghe.
Recently, a video recording of Prof. Ashu Marasinghe allegedly showing him sexually abusing a dog had gone viral after it was released by SJB former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra to the media. Former MP Hirunika Premachandra revealed the video recordings which she said had been made by a woman named Aadarsha Karandana, who owned the pet dog.
Ms. Karandana told the media that she had been Marasinghe’s girlfriend after meeting him online on Facebook.
Later, Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, former advisor to President Ranil Wickremesinghe has sent a letter of demand claiming Rs.500 million and one billion rupees as damages from former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra and Adarsha Karandana respectively for allegedly making a defamatory statement regarding him during a press conference held on December 23.
