Acting President appointed to Court of Appeal

Justice Sobhitha Rajakaruna has been appointed as the Acting President of the Court of Appeal, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Accordingly, Justice Rajakaruna took oath as the Acting President of the Court of Appeal before President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the President’s Office this morning (16), the PMD added.

This appointment has been made until the President of the Court of Appeal Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne, who is currently overseas, returns to the island.
