400 arrested over May 9th unrest in Sri Lanka

Police Spokesman says that so far about 400 suspects arrested over May 9th unrest. 159 persons arrested on MAY 15 over the incidents in Galle Face & Colpitty and for attacking persons, causing damages to public & private property Islandwide. A total of 398 arrested so far.

According to the Police 4 suspects arrested over the in incident related to the death of parliamentarian Amarakeerthi Athukorala in Nittambuwa.

According to UWN, anti-government protesters set on fire and damaged the residences and offices of at least 100 politicians, including over 30 parliamentarians. More than 80 vehicles including buses which transported pro-government protesters were either set on fire or damaged.

Police seek public help to identify suspects and arrest them over Temple Trees protest site and Galle Face Protest site GotaGoGama attacks on May 9th.
