The Public Health Inspectors’ Association has announced that over 3,500 ‘Dansal’ which provide free foods have been registered for this year’s Vesak season. Most of them are registered in Western Province. Additionally, they will inspect unregistered Dansals to ensure public safety and hygiene standards are met.
Approximately 2,000 Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) will be deployed for these inspections. The association urges organizers of unregistered Dansals to complete their registration today. Health officials emphasize the importance of preparing meals that adhere to proper hygiene and health standards. (LankaXpress.com)
